Lately, the car AC user, in big cities in Indonesia should be more careful. There are findings by the Environment Ministry of Indonesia that refrigerant gas (freon) type R-12 still outstanding. This type of refrigerant gas is the best one that can damage the environment. Therefore, as the users of cars AC, I suggest you to avoid the use of this gas one. Indeed, many vendors say that the price of the freon type R-12 is cheaper, so that many users tempted to use it.

Not only that, the car AC users in Indonesia can also misguided. Many recent findings indicate that many freon R-134a tube that contains the R-12 type. The price can reach two-fold times cheaper than original R-134a. The seller is usually done this to improve their sales results. Of course, the user AC tempted to buy a car tube freon R-134a, a more environmental friendly, with a cheap price that is equivalent with the of R-12 type price.

Although there is no potentially to harmful financial state, the freon R-12 type have been prohibited by the Indonesia State Ministry of Environment, and classified as destructive environment type. Recently, the Directorate General of Customs and Bea find 3962 tubes of prohibited refrigerant gas (freon) imported in the port of Merak, Banten. They estimate, this item is the rest of old production tube which is packed in the new R-134a. During this time, a lot of this type of Freon is producted in China. Therefore the State Environment Ministry of Indonesia is planning to report this findings of imported gas refrigerant (freon) type of R-12 to the Government of China.
